"Hey it's the end of the holidays," said Elsie as she marked a cross on her calendar. Elsie was about to call Justin but instead Justin called her. "Hey Elsie," but Elsie didn’t answer. Justin called again, "ELSIE!!!" "Justin, I was just about to call you." Elsie answered. "Okay, I know now," Justin said, "but it's the last day of the holidays." "I was just about to tell you that, Justin." she said. "Okay that’s weird," he smiled. "I’ll meet you and the others at the park at 2.00pm," said Elsie. "Okay," said Justin, "bye Elsie." "Bye Justin," Elsie said. At the park Elsie waited 5 minutes for the others to come. "Finely you're here," said Elsie, "lets chat about how the park should look." "Like I know," said Lizzi, "there should be a water-slide!" Dillon interrupted and said, "What about a high diving board into a swimming pool?" "Dillon!" said Lizzi. Lizzi hit him with a news paper that the paper boy had dropped, "I'm still talking!" then hit him again. "What about pretend lava with stepping stones on it?" she said. "My turn," said Melody, "What about a jumping castle and a flying fox going across the pool?" Tia was late with her twin sister Ashley. Then Justin arrived shortly after. "Hey what are you guys doing?" asked the twins. "Talking about what the playground should look like," Dillon answered. "Cool," said Ashley, "But I have home work to finish." "So does everyone," said Elsie. So they all went home. Ashley and Tia were always the first in class. They go to school at 7.30 in the morning. Today a new girl came to class before Elsie did, who was normally second to arrive. "Who are you?" said Ashley and Tia. "I'm Daniele," the girl said in a Italian accent. "Cool name," said Tia. "You have an Italian accent," said Ashley. "Yes," said the new girl quietly, "I have 5 Sisters and 4 brothers." "HOLY GOD!" Ashley said amazed, "I only have one sister which is Tia. When did you come Australia?" "We left Italy on the 9th of April and we landed in Australia on the 11th of April," she said and the twins smiled. At lunch time Daniele went to have her lunch in the playground. Just then, when she was about sit down, Ashley said "Hey! Do you want to sit with us?" Daniele smiled and said, "Yes." "Everyone, this is Daniele," Ashley began, "Daniele, you know Tia, but here are the rest of my friends. Lizzi, Justin, Elsie and Dillon." everyone smiled and greeted her. A little while later the bell rang to tell them lunch was over. "Boring class," Dillon said, "I can’t believe we only get two days of break each week," he grumbled. "I wish it was three," said Lizzi. "Yeah!" everyone agreed as they all went back to class. For a whole hour Ashley kept bugging Daniele about her brothers and sisters. "Tia, does Ashley always act like this?" "When there’s a new person around, yes she does." Tia answered. "Ohhh," Daniele said annoyed. Ashley whispered, "Daniele." "Why can’t you leave me alone Ashley!?" Daniele said in an angry but quiet voice. "Daniele!" Ashley said again. "Have you got something to tell me?" said the teacher in a calm voice. "No," Ashley said. "Yes," said Daniele, "Ashley keeps annoying me." Ashley finally leaves Daniele alone. Ding ding. "Home time. Finally!" said Dillon. When Lizzi got home her mother greeted her, "Hey Liz, how was school?" "Good," said Lizzi. Then she got on the computer and started to look at her emails. When she got to the eighth email she saw a news bulletin: "Diamonds have been stolen by a cat burglar."Wait a second. Daniele left Italy on the 9th. It might be her," Lizzi thought to herself, "Nah. Daniele couldn’t do that." That night while Lizzi was asleep, a cat burglar broke into the house and stole her dad’s computer and her mother's black pearl necklace. They were worth $17000. When they woke up her parents were as angry as a bull and a lion fighting. "Goodbye Mum. Goodbye Dad," Lizzi said but they didn’t answer, "BYE MUM! BYE DAD!" They still wouldn’t answer so Lizzi just went to school. When Lizzi got to school she told her friends about her house being robbed that night. When Daniele came to school she said in amazement, "My Mama has a beauty neck thingy." "A necklace," said Elsie. "And my Papa has a thing with a big screen," she added. "A computer," said Lizzi. "Yes, that's right," Daniele said. "What kind of necklace?" Lizzi asked. "I can not tell you," Daniele answered. "You stole Lizzi's Mum and Dads things didn’t you?" said Tia and Ashley. "No I didn’t." Daniele protested. "Ok then. I’ll go to your house," said Lizzi. "No," Daniele said, "Okay. I did steal, but it was all for my Mama and Papa. They stole diamonds in Italy. That is why we moved here. So they won’t find us." Daniele cried. Lizzi ran to the nearest teacher and said, "Daniele robbed my house and her Mum and Dad stole diamonds in Italy. Call 000." The teacher called as fast as she could and in no time Daniele and her parents got serious punishment. Her parents went to jail and Daniele was sent to military school. Lizzi got a reward cheque for $90000 and a beautiful diamond. The End.
